Currently residing in the United Kingdom , Dorreya Wood has lived on three continents and says she understands that her true domicile is in a realm beyond - where everyone of us is journeying back home to.

She says her own journey - this time round - has taken her all over, literally and spiritually. It seems, at least, occupationally, to have brought her back full circle.

She started writing poems, songs and stories - and illustrating them - almost as soon as she learnt to write. It is a passion she has had to put aside at times while life led her in diverse directions.

After gaining her Diploma in Art and Design at Chelsea College of Art, London, she held various positions including interior design and working in public libraries. Following the birth of her son and daughter (which she regards as her most rewarding creative experience) she worked in a nursery school, ran playgroups and taught French in primary schools. She has also been a teaching assistant in a special needs school and worked with adults with learning disabilities.

“The exciting thing about life,” Dorreya says, “is that there is always something new to learn at both an inner and outer level. Above all, I am learning that it doesn’t matter where life takes me, only that I follow my higher instincts and listen to my heart.” Dorreya is the author/illustrator of 'Bliss' and can be contacted through Pick-a-Woo Woo Publishers.
